The Laranjeira Garage ("we", "us") operates https://thelaranjeiragarage.com. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. We do not sell your information to anyone, ever.

What we collect

When you book or ask for a quote

Your name, phone number, email address, vehicle description, and — for mobile jobs only — the address you want us to come to. If you tell us anything in the notes box, we keep that too.

When you start booking and don't finish

If you enter your name and contact details into the booking form but don't complete the booking, we keep those details so we can follow up. You can ask us to delete them at any time using the contact details below.

Automatically

Standard web analytics — pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, what browser you used, and which link or advert brought you here. This is aggregate traffic data and we do not use it to identify individuals.

Photographs

We photograph vehicles we work on for our own records. These are stored privately and are visible only to us. We do not publish a customer's vehicle without asking first.

How we use it

• To schedule, carry out and confirm your appointment.
• To contact you about the job — a confirmation when you book, a reminder the day before, and anything we need to ask before or during the work.
• To keep a service history, so we know what was done to your car and when.
• To send offers and updates, only if you have not opted out.

Who we share it with

Only the services required to run the business:

• Google Calendar — appointment details go on our own private business calendar so we know where to be. That calendar is not public.
• Cloudflare — hosts this site and its database.
• Resend — sends our email.
• Twilio — sends our text messages, if you have opted in.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We will disclose it if the law requires us to, and not otherwise.

Text messages

We run two separate text programs, each with its own unticked checkbox on the booking form. You can join either, both, or neither, and you can book an appointment without joining either one. We never add a number to either program without that program's box being ticked.

• Appointment texts — a confirmation when you book and a reminder the day before. Typically 2 messages per appointment.
• Offers and updates — optional promotions and news, entirely separate from the above. Typically no more than 2 messages a month.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Reply START to rejoin.

• We do not charge for messages.
• You can also stop texts by calling or emailing us on the details below.
• Opting out of texts does not cancel your appointment, and we will still email you about a booking you have made.
• We do not share mobile numbers or text-message consent with anyone for their own marketing, and we never sell them.

Marketing email

Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Using it stops offers immediately. It does not stop messages about a booking you already have — if your car is due in tomorrow, you still get the reminder.

How long we keep it

We keep customer and job records for as long as you are a customer, because a service history is only useful if it goes back. Details from an enquiry that never became a booking are kept while we might still reasonably follow up, and deleted on request.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Call or text 703-606-1377 or email TheLaranjeiraGarage@gmail.com and we will sort it out. There is no form to fill in.

If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, and not to be treated differently for asking. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
